Here in New Mexico, Pegasus Gold Corporation (note enclosure)
is having a very difficult time trying to develop a large gold h>ap leaching
facility. Our mining industries, however, are important to our economic health.
I believe that the technologies that are presently being usrad in these
industries have become seriously outdated, obselete and uneconomical and,
in the long term, environmentally-unsafe. The public doesn't wal>t them
built anywhere and the state and federal environmental agencies fire regulating
them out of existence.
I felt that you would like to be made aware of two new, but related,
technologies that I have developed to solve these problems. The:>e are the
"Cellular Heap Leaching Process" (U.S. Patent No. 4,526,615) and the "Cellular
Landfill" (Patent Pending). Short reports are enclosed herewith on these
new concepts.
I have sent these reports to about 150 western gold mining companies
and to your state environmental and waste management division directors.
I would appreciate any comments that you or your environmental people
would like to make on these new technologies.
I am seeking an opportunity to further develop them in commercial plants.
Thank you for your consideration of these new technologies.
Sincerely,
C~. `
Paul H.
