The Golden Eagle mine facility lies southeast of the Solitario Ranch in Section 29.
Exhibit 8 of the Golden Eagle permit application contains the well records for wells in the vicinity of
the Golden Eagle mine, as those records existed at some point in the past. There are no well
records in that Exhibit under the name Tatum or under the name Solitario Ranch. I also checked
each record in the Exhibit for any located in Section 19, in the event that the well was registered to a
different name. I found no wells registered under anv name located in Section 19 in Exhibit 8.
My investigation using the State Engineers Well Records system produced similar results. I first
searched Section 19, T33S R67W for all wells. Two were listed; George Chavez and Monroe Allen
Armstrong. No other wells in Section 19, if they exist, are registered with the State Engineer in
Section 19, T33S R67W.
In the event of a typo by the State Engineer, I checked ALL registered wells in four Townships; T33S
R67W ;T33S R68W ;T34S R67W ;and T34S R68W.
I found no wells registered under the name Tatum or Solitario Ranch in any of these townships.
In summary, I found no well registered under the name Tatum or Solitario Ranch during my
investigation.
Let me know if you need additional information.
Kent Gorham
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman St. Rm 215
Denver CO 80203
(303)866-4931
