Computer regltlremenb to use the DBMS dacament imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD a~ nmst be installed on your computer in order ro use a DAMS imaging CD the fiat time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase nn}gI be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD ar DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be an ilrmge viewing application for .tif files on your wmputer that will handle single and ®ilti-page documents. On a W indoors XP confuter, the default viewing programs are called "Windows PicNre and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Irmging Viewer that comes withpre-Windows XP computers does work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from irfanView.com, does work with QuickView. ARer downloading "lrfanView", it needs to be conh~gured as your default .df viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". . Instractlons• 1. InseR the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD ro install. 3. fijeM the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD iaro the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. NOTB: A program called QuickView Autotuq which rune the QuickView setup prograal, has also been copied ro this CD. If the Aurorun program does NOT work, you will need ro manuaDy install the 1~uickView program. hlstructiauls for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.w.us.
