The Division ie reclaiming
~~ well as moving associated coal waste.
The location of the Duck Pond Pit is in proximity of the Vento Trust property in
the E 1/4 1/4 portion of section 24. The Division hoe completed moving coal
waste into the Duck pond pit and covering the pit with weckerling spoil material.
The Division instructed the contractor to establish five (5) contour furrows
across the Duck Pond Pit to direct associated drainage away from the face of the
pit. In doing so, one contour furrow has crossed over the pit into the corner
of the Vento Trust Property in the E 1/4 1/4 Section 24. The contour furrow
crossing into the Vento Trust Property ie roughly 50 feet long and 3 feet wide.
An estimate 150 eq.ft. hoe been disturbed.
The Division inspected this area on December 20, 1993, days after the contour
furrow was created. The Div ieion hoe instructed the contractor to remove the
contour furrow which crosses into the Vento Trust Property and to insure that
drainage ie not directed into the property. Please note that the purpose of the
contour furrows was to direct drainage only associated with the Duck Pond~Pit.
The Division is in the process of correcting this minor disturbance through our
contractor on site.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 866-3567.
Sincerely,
L'CGI~ S.
