This technical revisior request
will be presented to the Mined Land Reclamation Board at the March 23-24,
1983 meeting. To allow for review time by the staff, please address the
following issues in detail prior to "larch 15, 1983.
1. 41hen this permit was converted from a Limited Impact permit to a Regular
hermit, Mrs. Payne had raised some objections to the usage of the "tentative"
access road. Has P1rs. Payne been notified of the new location of the access
road? Has P1rs. Payne agreed to having the old existing ranch road upgraded?
Does Mrs. Payne have any objections to this new access road?
2. In your letter of February 15, 198.3, you mentioned the access road would
be along an old existing ranch road that would be upgraded. A comparison
of the February 15, 1983 map to the annual report map of October 4, 1982, shows
the access road follows the ranch road only part way. Is this correct? If so,
why won't the ranch road be followed all of the etay to the west block? What
reclamation is planned for the unused portions of the ranch road? How much
cutting of the hillside is required to put in this road?
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
to rely,
. ~ti~~
P ter .O'Connor
Reclamation Specialist
PVOC/mmt
