A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD the fast time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase ~ be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page dacuneenta. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Witrdows Picture and Fax Viewel' or "Paint" and they do not work with tZuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes withpre-Windows XP computers does work DAMS bas detemtined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as `.Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for W indoors". Instructions' 1. Lrsert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called f2uickView Autoruq which rune the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autoiun program does NOT work, you will need to mamtally install the QuickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD of can be viewed at www.miniua.state.co.us. The Permit File document images can be viewed fu the reception area of the DAMS office or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD(DVD purchase cost covers the dme and labor of makt~ the CD.
