The three of us arrived
at the Energy Fuels office at approximately 8:30AM and contacted
Randy, AL and Clint. The following additional people met us on
Chen's Hill and the West Slope; Larry Routten, Erica Crosby, Harry
Ranney, Bill Colgate (temporary project manager), Preston Meese
(Contractor). The following are the results of this meeting:
A. Consider reducing gravel from the V ditch located on the uphill
side of the access road below Chen's Hill and place excess gravel
on the road.
B. Dip the road toward the V ditch approximately 2 percent.
C. The Coal Program would review the ditch sizing and reduce the
ditch width and depth where possible.
D. The Energy Fuels representatives indicated that the road was in
the permit but the ditch was outside of the permit. The coal
program indicated that they would check on the permit status of the
ditch and road.
E. Energy Fuels representatives requested that a 2 foot berm be
established on the south side of the fuel loadout area.
F. Energy Fuels representatives expressed concern regarding
potential erosion from the recontoured reclaimed slopes above
Magpie Creek east of the west pit, and about crossing the Magpie
Diversion to access the west pit area. It was jointly decided that
a combination ditch\access road would be installed from the fuel
loadout to the west pit sed pond area. The Coal Program also
requested that this access be wide enough to allow Phil Kessler
access with his trucks. Subsequent discussion with Erica on June
6, 1994 set the road width at 10 feet. Approximately 1/2 of the
drainage would flow to magpie creek across the access road and
