The files on this shaft contain limited
information concerning the shaft construction and planning. They
do not contain any concise information which easily summarizes the
final shaft construction.
I am enclosing a copy of the shaft construction drawing, an
internal authorization for expenditure concerning grouting of the
shaft, and a Dynatec memo summarizing the success of the grouting
program. This may shed some light as to the construction of the
shaft.
Prior to drilling, the shaft was pre-grouted. A steel liner
was installed in the shaft with a gravel interface between the
original ground and the liner. Concrete caps were installed on
both ends of the shaft liner. If additional information is
located, I will forward to you for your files. Please call if you
have any questions.
Sincerely,
~_/, -
i
Ralph Lo
Environmental Engineer
