Sox 487
Walden, Colorado 80480-0487
Dear Mr. Patterson:
Per your inquiry to Rod Broome, our Staff Engineer, in regard to discontinuing
electric service to the Mine and the retiring of the overhead primary line.
I
Mountain Parks Electric, Inc., does not plan to retire the overhead line at this
time. If at a later date, we decide to retire the overhead line which is about three
(3) miles, we will do so. There is no charge to Kerr Coal or anyone else to
retire tl)e line. The line has been in operation over the minimum years required
on a new service.
It should be noted, that if Kerr Coal wishes to retire the electric service at the
Mine, we will need to receive a note slating so. At that time we will retire the
metering and transformer and stop billing the monthly facility/minimum charge:
I trust this information will be helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us should
you have additional questions. Thank you for being an excellent Consumer and
we hope things will work out with some new coal contracts. We would surely
like to keep Kerr Coal Company as a Consumer.
Sincerely,
MOUNTAIN PARKS
,'`
-- "Joan Schoenfeld
Member Services Diri
INC.
G'"
!S/br
