~ Dear Party and/or Interested Person:
Due to a change in the scheduled Board hearing dates for the August Board Meeting the Colorado Division
of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has rescheduled the Riverbend Amendment pre-hearing for August 15,
2005. The Board Hearing previously scheduled August 17/18, 2005 has been rescheduled for Wednesday,
August 31, 2005 and will be held at the Pueblo Convention Center at 320 Central Main Street, Pueblo, CO
81003.
Therefore, staff has rescheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board, for consideration. The new hearing date for consideration of the Riverbend Operation
Amendment Application will occur during the August 31. 2005 Board meeting at the Pueblo Convention
Center, 320 Central Main Street, Pueblo,Colorado, commencing at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the
matter can be considered. Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard.
The Pre-hearing Conference has been rescheduled for August 15.2005 beginning at 2:00 p.m.., at the Mined
Land Reclamation Division Office at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado. Ms. Sandra
Brown will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to
describe the Office's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and
resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues
under the Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be
a party to the Formal Board Hearing.
An informational memo, dated October 2, 2001, Revised October 19,2001 and August 2, 2004, RE: Citizen
Participation in the 112 Reclamation Permit Application Process was sent to you in the Division's earlier
notice, dated February 11, 2005. As part of that memo the Division included a `Party Status Withdrawal
