Dear Mr. Gosney:
On August 23, 2002, the Division of Minerals and Geology approved the succession of operators from Western
Mobile Northern, hlc. to Gosney & Sons, Inc. for the Bayfield Pit No. 1, Pemrit No. M-1987-038. Gosney &
Sons, Inc. is now the permitted operator of the Bayfield Pit No. 1, and as such, is responsible for all provisions in
Permit No. M-1987-038, as well as those specified in the Rules and Regulations. Western Mobile Northam, Inc.
is relieved of all responsibilities cancetniag this operation.
Please Note:
1. All of the application materials, as amended and supplemented, era an integral part of your permit. They
have been incorporated imo the permit by reference. We presume that you have a copy of all of these materials;
therefore, none have been enclosed with this mailing. We suggest that you keep a copy of the permit and the
permit application at the mining operation as a reference for operating personnel, to help ensure compliance with
the farms of the permit.
2. Changes in the mining and reclamation operations that differ finm those described in the permlit may
require a modification to the permit. We suggest consuhing the Rules and Regulations and/or cowacting us to
determine if a modification to the pemrit is necessary. Rule 1.10 pertains to Amendments, Rule 1.9 to Technical
Revisicros, and Rule 1.11 to Conversions.
3. On your permit anniversary date (Alovember 15th) each yeaz, you must submit an annual fee ($688.00)
and annual report to us. Please consuh the Rules, Act, and your permit for specific requirements.
