Dept. of Idatural ResoDrces
Re: The Rockcastle Company
Grassy Creek Coal Mine 111
Your file 1178-45
Regarding your comments on the Rockcastle Company's request for a technical
• revision to its permit, enclosed is a map showing the location of the top-
soil stockpile along the haul road leading to the county road and the loca-
tion of the new office area.
Before the new office area is disturbed, topsoil will be removed and placed
on the topsoil stockpile shown on the enclosed map. Also, upon abandoning
the old office area, the old office area will be reclaimed by scarifying the
parking surface and reapplying topsoil to a depth of 12 inches. The seed
mix specified in the permit will then be disced in and the area protected
from further disturbance.
The Rockcastle Company would like to make every effort to successfully re-
claim disturbed areas and welcomes your suggestions. If you have additional
comments or questions on the technical revision, please feel free to call.
Very truly yours,
TDR;ah
cc: Mr. Bill Zabel
•
Tommy D.
