The Division may forward
additional comments regarding the permit renewal in the near
future. MINREC should provide responses to the following
Questions by May 14, 1993.
1. It appears that some of the information regarding the Legal and
Financial Compliance section of the permit needs to be updated. If
updates are required, please submit this revised information.
2. The Red Canyon Mine has been issued a new NPDES permit with a
new permit number which should replace the previous permit in the
permit application.
3. Will any of the information regarding water rights and
alternate water supply be required to be updated? The last update
of pages 64-64b was May 1991.
4. The Division is aware that the mining ceased in 1984
and subsidence is no longer monitored, but we must resolve this
issue.
A. Are there any other structures located within the angle-
of-draw that are not included on Map 2.05.6(6) (f) (ii) (c)-1
and described in Table 2.05.6(6)(a)(ii)(A)-1?
B. Pursuant to rule 4.20.2, verify that the owners of
property and residents within the area to be mined were
notified at least 6 months prior to mining beneath the
