Enclosed a copy of an Environmental Assessment (EA) prepared <br />for the coal lease modification, COC-53510 and coal right-of-way COC-59584, for your <br />review. <br />The modification area is located in T.13S., R.90W., 6th Principal Meridian, Sec. 1: <br />Lots 11, 12, 13 and 20, containing approximately 157.55 acres in Gunnison County, <br />Colorado. The RNV area is located within the north half of Lot 1, Sec. 12, T.13S., <br />R.90W., 6th Principal Meridian and contains approximately 18 acres. The lands are <br />four miles east of Somerset, Colorado. The purpose of the EA is to evaluate the <br />potential impacts of lease and R/W issuance upon the physical and socioeconomic <br />environment. <br />The 30-day comment period ends August 30, 1996.
