Gunnison No. <br />- Upper W Pile <br />Permit Revision Application <br />Pursuant to your request, I have reviewed the permit revision application <br />submitted by the West Elk Coal Company for an upper coal processing waste pile <br />to be constructed at their Mt. Gunnison No. 1 underground coal mine. Upon <br />examination of the application, I have discerned several significant <br />geotechnical deficiencies which will require resolution.
