This soil could then be pushed to the pit floor and stockpiled upon
completion of mining this increment of the entire amendment area. This should reduce the dollar
amount required to reclaim this area since it would require less equipment. As we mine the
second proposed 10 acres, we would continue to stockpile the topsoil on the pit floor in various
locations. We would also like to note that we would reclaim the north and south slopes as we
work west on additional increments in the future. This is assuming that our additional 10 acre
increments go immediately west of the current 10 acre plot.
Also, regarding the revegetation process, we would like to request that you delete Mountain
Mahogany because of the bad success rate experienced in this area. In place of it, we would like
to use Four Wing Salt Brush.
In your package dated October 29, 1996 regarding the financial warranty recalculation, we did not
see ar~y adjustment for the reclamation work that has already been done on the 24 ages in our
current pit. Is this included in your calculations?
Thank you for your help and instruction in this matter. Please let us know as soon as possible the
results of our requests.
Sincerely,
~7
ck Gilleland
President
