Warner: <br />The notice of bond release you reviewed is believed to be for some reclaimed <br />lands at the P & M Coal Company's Edna Nine. The purpose of the notice is to <br />inform you that P & N has requested release from bond liability. No release <br />has been recommended yet and 1f you would like the opportunity to Inspect the <br />reclaimed lands before bond is released, please let us know soon. We will be <br />happy to arrange an inspection at a mutually convenient time. <br />The general procedure for a bond release on reclaimed coal lands 1s for the <br />operator to publish notice of his intent and to notify the appropriate local <br />government bodies of their intention before the bond release request is <br />submitted to the Division. This is to allow any persons affected by the bond <br />release to comment. Due to a misunderstanding, the P 8 N bond release request <br />is out of sequence and the notice was published and the local government <br />bodies notified after it was submitted to the Division. The bond will not be <br />released until the Division publishes a notice that we have recommended bond <br />release. We are expecting to publish this spring. <br />An inspection of the reclaimed lands was conducted by the Division last <br />summer. A good vegetative stand has been achieved.
