The changes in the ownership and control information may be somewhat <br />confusing, so in order to avoid any misunderstanding, allow me to explain the changes. It <br />would be best if you would review the flowchart on page 4 as you follow through the <br />explanation. <br />All companies within the Cyprus family are now directly linked to Cyprus Amax Coal <br />Company. Cyprus Yampa Valley Coal Corporation (CYVCC) and Cyprus Western Coal <br />Company (CWCC) no longer exist. Please note the highlighted areas in the header for <br />these two branches. CYVCC was merged into CWCC as of 3/3/97; therefore, although <br />CYVCC still has a data sheet, it no longer exists. CWCC was merged into Cyprus Amax Coal <br />Company on 4/1/97; therefore, although CWCC also has a data sheet, it no longer exists. <br />Also note on your flowchart that Cyprus Amax Coal Holding Company is no longer listed. <br />Please note the highlighted area in the header for Cyprus Amax Coal Company.
