Objections, and Notice of Pre-Hearing Conference and Mined Land Reclamation Boazd Meeting,
Amendment Application, Red Canyon Quarry, M-1985-043

Pursuant to the requirement of Rule 1.4.5(5), enclosed is a copy of the Division's Rationale for
Recommendation for conditional approval over objections of the amendment application.
Also, you are hereby notified that the pre-hearing conference will be held at 10:00AM on June
14, 2001 in Room 318, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203. Ms. Sandy Brown will
chair the hearing. Pursuant to requirements of Rule 2.7, the Pre-Heazing Conference Officer shall
cause to be proposed a drafr pre-hearing order which will contain the following:
1. A list of the parties' names, addresses and phone numbers;
2. A list of issues to be discussed at the Board hearing;
3. An outline of the agenda for the Board hearing and allowed times for presentations, cross-
examinations by parties and closing statements;
4. A list of each party's witnesses; and
5. A list of each party's exhibits or documents to be used as evidence.
In addition, you are hereby notified that this item will be presented to the Board at the regularly
scheduled June 27-28, 2001 meeting. The Board will meet in Room 318, 1313 Sherman Street,
Denver, Colorado 80203 beginning at 10:00AM on the 27th and 9:OOAM on the 28th. You can
call Glenda Williams at 303-866-3567 on June 25, 2001 to find out which day the item will be
heard.
