<br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4,
<br />of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on December 1, 2003, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Seneca II-W
<br />Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Seneca Coal Company. All review
<br />and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
<br />The revision application provides information regazding temporary and permanent roads in iesponse to stipulations 31, 32, and
<br />33. The application also proposes modified postmine topographic contours for portions of the A Pit and B Pit reclamation
<br />areas.
<br />The Surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 9 miles South of Hayden. The permit area is further
<br />described as follows:
<br />TSN, R88 W; All of Section 15; Portions of Sections 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 34, and 35
<br />T6N, R88 W; Portions of Sections 14, 23 and 24
<br />T6N, R87W; Portions of Sections 17, 18, 19
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land aze shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Hayden Gulch, Hayden Dunckley, &
<br />Mount Harris.
<br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of
<br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Routt County
<br />Courthouse, P.O. Box 773598, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to
