The waste piles will be protected with upland water diversion berms or ditches, and will
be shaped to drain, capped with a geomembrane if acid or toxic, topsoiled and seeded. Geomembrane edges will be
buried within an anchor trench. Bond for capping with the geomembrane, topsoil, and seed is calculated to be $30, 000.
The terms of the Technical Revision No. 1 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M-1977-
403-HR All other conditions and requirements of Permit No. M-197703-I3R remain in full force and effect.
The existing bond of $226,600.00 is sufficient to absorb the extra estimated liability amount of $30,000 for this technical
revision, so total reclamation liability does not exceed the performance bond held. A copy of the bond calculation for this
revision is attached. It will not be necessary to submit additional bond.
Please note. A rider to this revision approval is attached. This rider reflects standazd language that is being attached to
all MLRB permits, and covers reporting requirements for spills at mine sites. If you have any questions, please contact
me or Bob Oswald.
Sincerely,
~>y~~
Harry Ii.
