My daughter, and Geology Room 215 owner of a 320 acre ranch which is across the id Gravel Pit. I operated the ranch for 95 Sue Bennett purchased the ranch in 1989. I made an application on November 15, 1978, to subdivide the eastern 34.04 acres for a residential subdivision. This action was recorded on November 15, 1978 in tlontrose County, State of Colorado in Plat Book 11, page 122. I have sold seven out of eight lots. There are five families now living in Sunset Ridge Subdivision. County Road 44ZN,'cul-de-sac, serves Sunset Ridge Subdivision and the Norwood Gravel Pit. This road could be congested, dangerous and heavily traveled. I strongly object to this proposed mining of gravel and the ~~.,-~` usage by reoidents, a school bus, and commercial gravel trucks all ' trying to use this county road. This congestion spells a dangerous road condition for everyone traveling on it. When approaching Sunset Ridge, I view a very ugly looking junk yard on the right hand side of the County road, as well as from the { i/ whole southern view on the return route. This consists of gravel ~ trailers, loaders, old trucks, junk equipment, gravel elevators, and a large gravel work trailer. This conglomeration obstructs and mars the view of the beautiful Telluride mountains for the residents of Sunset Ridge, and everyone else traveling on the road. Since most of the breeze comes from the east at night, the f,~;y - dust and noise will be smelled and heard for many miles. There is ,,5~ i~w no doubt that air pollution will be a serious contamination u,r ~o~(u7 Problem.
