CO 80203
Re: Bowie Resources, LLC, Bowie No. 2 Mine
Application for a Technical Revision
Proposed new haul road to Gob Pile # 3
Permit G1996-083
Dear Mr. Dudash:
CONST. MANAGEMENT
RECEI~J~'n
AU6 .l 7 ~.iU7
Division of Reciamaoon,
Mining and Safety
On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, (BRL) enclosed is an application for a technical
revision for the construction of a Haul Road to Gob Pile #3. The bids received for the
construction of the conveyor and gob bin were significantly over budget so BRL has
decided to haul the gob to Gob Pile #3. BRL's intent is to haul gob from the preparation
plant to the gob pile using 10-wheel dump trucks or other highway legal trucks. It is
anticipated there could be up to 230 one way trips per day.
Right of Entry
The new disturbance is located on land owned by BRL. BRL has applied for a highway
access permit. BRL is working with the Bureau of Reclamation to determine what
approvals are necessary, if any, to utilize the bridge over the Fire Mountain Canal.
Disturbed and Affected Area
The additional disturbed and affected area caused by the new haul road is 0.1 acres.
Reclamation Estimate
Due to the minimal increase in disturbed/affected area (0.1 acres) a reclamation
estimate is not included for this TR application. There should be a --$30,000 credit for
task number 185 since the conveyor and loading bin will not be constructed.
T & E Studies
The baseline vegetation report located in Exhibit III, Tab 5, addresses T & E plant
species in the subject area. Rare Earth Science, LLC's letter report dated October 20,
2006 previously supplied under the TR-45, presents a negative finding of T & E Species
in the subject area.
The following data are enclosed:
