Box 68 Craig, Colorado 81626 Re: Approval of Bond Rider to Surety Bond No. 989996 and Release of Surety Bond No. 917277, MLRD Permit No. C-044-81 Dear Mr. Mills: The bond rider submitted in correspondance dated February 20, 1985 has been approved by the Division. This rider increases the amount of Surety No. 989996 from $2,437,470.00 to 3,178,400.00 in order to cover bonding requirements associated with a number of revisions at the Eagle 5 & 9 Mines since this bond was submitted. Up to this point, these revisions have been covered by Empire's original bond (Surety Bond No. 917277) in the amount of $890,000.00 The amount of the new bond rider ($3,178,400.00) was $2,500.00 short of Empire's bonding requirement. The bonding calculation is explained as follows. The bond amount associated with this activity is $3,600.00. The denial for the Minor Revision is enclosed herewith.
