The following is our understanding <br />of the status of outstanding items and an expected time frame for responding to those items <br />which require a response from BMRI. <br />I. Outstanding Technical Revisions <br />A. TR-IS Monitoring groundwater beneath tailings facility upon closure. BMRI is in <br />the process of reviewing the status and determining an appropriate response to outstanding <br />comments on TR-15. Our initial review indicates that drilling and monitoring of the angle holes <br />may not be as effective as. originally hoped. We are revisiting other methods to accomplish the <br />monitoring objectives. We ~hope.to have respbnsz5 track tayoti by September: . <br />B.' TR-17 Process Fluicl Transfer Procedures. TR-IS Permi[.Modification, Partial backfilling of West Pit. Additional gaochemical <br />information and request for conditional approvalwill be'sent to the Division July .I 2, 1i99~. <br />D. TR-22 Environmental Protection Plan. We have received your comments on TR-22 <br />and are in the process of gathering additional information. BMRI expects to have responses to <br />you by the end of July. <br />IL Outstanding issues from 1992 N.O.V. <br />It is our understanding that the abatement schedule is no longer required. Although we <br />have not received written comments front dte Division olt our initial Reclamation Evaluation <br />Report, we did meet with the Utvision and we are preparing a smnrnmy of ;sponses to <br />comments raised by the Division during the meeting. We expect to have this submittal ready it <br />early September. Should you send us something prior to September we will be prepared to <br />answer any of your questions in this submittal as well. <br />III. Other outstanding issues <br />A. Phase II Raise I approval. We appreciate receiving approval for Phase iI raise I and <br />consider that issue resolved. <br />B. M-14 water level readings. A letter regarding water level readings of M-14 will be <br />sent under separate cover.. ' <br />C. [NCO monitoring. Different regtiirerucnts for INCO monitoring were contlained in <br />TR-006 and TR-010. Since'TR-006 vas approved after TR-010 there has been some oonfusion <br />over which requirements apply.
