Proposed seed mix for seeding Range Sites A
and B in 1997, Trapper Mine". The only three changes that are on this document are:
1. The Big sagebrush pure live seed per square foot was reduced from five to three. This is a
move in the right direction in keeping this plant from taking over the azea.
2. The chokecherry has been added back into the mix to give us 0.3 pure live seeds per
square foot, and
3. Serviceberry has been added back the same as the chokecherry.
Of interest at this specific site, the plants that were listed as the dominant shrub species (by stem
density) in the various ranges were:
• Range Site A;
Gambel's oak #2
Serviceberry #3
Snowberry #1
• Range Site B;
Big sagebrush #4
Gambel's oak #1
Serviceberry #3
Snowberry #2
• Range Site C;
Big sagebrush #1
Snowberry #2
This information tells us that the assumptions we were making yesterday were correct.
