Dept. c'. =;,'.o,;.~ ~~- <br />Re: Boettcher Limestone Quaxry 1980-81 Surety Adjustment <br />and 46-Acre Amen~tent--YolJr File No. 77-348 <br />Dear Mr. Stanton: <br />I ~~ <br />In reply to your letter of October 29, 1980 requesting <br />an estimated cost figtse for reclamation of the Boettcher <br />limestone quarry, the contitm ' active status of this en- <br />tire quarry makes estimation of reclamation costs very <br />difficult. However, since the area requested for new <br />bonding will be mined in the same maimer, we will accept <br />an extension of the bonding rate set for the existing <br />quarry, as undified for inflation in your letter of <br />October 17. <br />The total bond for the Boettcher limestone quarry would then <br />be: <br />Major disturbance 250 acres @ $1,000/ac. $250,000 <br />Moderate disturbance 81 acres @ $ 700/ac. 56,700 <br />Minor disturbance - 40 acres @ $250+10'/ / ac. 11,000 <br />TOTAL $317,700 <br />We do not wish to bond the 46-acre amendment at this time, since <br />no disturbance is planned in that area for a year or so. <br />Enclosed is the Affidavit of Publication of the Public Notice for <br />the 46-acre amendment. <br />If you have any questions or comtmzts, please call. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~ <br />Paul E.
