Luc hheaA
r.ecorive Director
Michael B. Long
rvieon Dueaor
I completed a cursory review of Tab 20 (Backfilling and Grading) of the Yoast permit and Rave
found that this section requires some additi onal information. Since the mine has been producing coal
for approximately two years, a significan t amount of information concerning the amount of coal
being extracted and the swell factor of th e overburden has been obtained. With this in mind, the
following issues need attention:
Revise the postmining contour map to more accurately reflect the final grade the mine plans
to achieve. Include appropriate cross section at points where significant slope changes from
the original contours are anticipated s~ - mH}~,1t ~i~,lti"" y_«hz". .4 MT..-.
2.
