Teller St.
Lakewood, CO 80235
RE: Technical Adequacy Review for Technical Revision to a.l l2 Permit, No. #M-1999-034
Fulton Wildlife Area
Dear Mr. Roche,
This letter is being written by the Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) to address technical
adequacy issues and payment concerns regarding your application for a technical revision to Permit No.
#M-1999-034, Fulton Wildlife Area. Upon reviewing our records, specifically the attached letter (dated
May lb, 2000), it was realized that the fees for this technical revision for reporting requirements, as well
as those for the technical revision to Permit No. #M-1999-021, Stegner Farms Pit, had been previously
waived by the Division. We therefore intend to return the fees for this revision by August 23, 2000, and
note that no other filing fee will be required for this technical revision.
Please review the attached letter from Allen Sorenson, dated March 29, 2000, and the Minerals Program
Policy On Application Reviews Involving Lined Sand and Gravel Pits from Bruce Humphries, dated
May 9, 2000. CAMAS Colorado, Inc. must specifically state which reporting requirements for the
construction of a slurry wall will be covered in this Technical Revision. The statement in the technical
revision application that the Operator wishes to "make the reporting requirements consistent with the
Minerals Program Policy Memo dated May 9, 2000" is not specific enough for the Division to approve
this technical revision application.
M¢hael B. Long
Divi:ion Duccmr
Please be advised that this revision may be deemed inadequate, and your application could be denied on
September 6, unless the adequacy item listed above is addressed to the satisfaction of the Division. If you
wish, you may request an extension to the decision due date, to allow for more time to resolve these
issues. If you have any further questions, please contact me at (303) 866-3567.
Sincerely,
~~ ~
Christina L.
