CDOT maintenance personnel have met on site with representatives of
Oxbow Mining LLC to review this work. It has been determined that construction of outlet piping
will not be necessary within the CDOT highway right of way as was depicted in the earlier design
plans. We believe that the proposed work will be beneficial to the operation of S.H. 135 and will
capture sediments in the natural drainage that normally reaches the highway drainage structures
and the North Fork of the Gunnison River.
We appreciate the opportunity to review and comment on these drainage improvements.
Sincerely, !~/~
Richard Penske
Program Engineer
cc: Leonard
Allen
Cadson
David
file
;,
• i
