The responses follow the same numbering scheme as the Division's. <br />Item 2 - It is TCC's opinion that the information can remain in its current location without causing any <br />interpretation problems as implied in the Division's letter. Moving 111e text [o an exhibit only causes <br />additional paperwork without any substantial benefit. <br />Item 8 -Based on discussions with the Division on January 28 the page can remain as is. No further <br />• response for page 2.05-135 is required. The reference to the paragraph starting with "Twentymile Coal <br />Company has cooperated with the Colorado Department o(Health-Water Quality Control Division..." is <br />located on page 2.05-170 and it has been removed from this page. The revised page is attached. <br />Item 13 -Map 15 has been modified to show U1ose wells which were completed in the Trout Creek <br />sandstone, indicated by TCSs on the map. All of these wells are owned by TCC; therefore, monitoring <br />requirements, if any, for these wells will be determined by TCC. <br />• <br />Item 18 - Pond B has been added to pages 2 and 3 of Table 9-1, and the revised pages are attached. <br />Item 19 -Based on discussions with the Division on January 28~', it is not necessary to monitor Ilse <br />JeBerson Ditch headgate at this time. Flows in Trout Creek are monitored at site 69, which is <br />immediately upstream of t11is headgate. In the future if conditions warrant this Iteadgate could be <br />incorporated into the hydrologic monitoring plan. <br />Item 20 - A note has been added to Table A of Exhibit 14 which states that if site 109, 115 or both <br />discharge during a month that sites 1003, 301, 69 and 1005 will be sampled for EC and sulfate. Even if <br />these sites 109 and 1 IS only discharged once during the month. The sample will be obtained within 24 - <br />36 hotus of the site(s) discharging, or if the site(s) will be discharging for more than one day no later than <br />24 - 36 hours after the discharge ceases. <br />Item 25 -Monitoring o(site 29 has been added to the surface sites presented in Table A of Exhibit 14. <br />Initial discussions wi111 Mr. Nalven indicated the Mine Discharge Calculator ntigllt have to be revised but <br />his current evaluation indicates Mat it is fine, although he did pick up solve typos in it and they have been <br />corrected and the revised pages are attached. <br />29515 ROUTT COUNTY ROAD p27, OAK CREEK.
