Cottony <br /> Division Director <br /> <br />Re: Proposed Decision Natural Resource Trustee <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 4 (RN-4) <br />Foidel Creek Mine (Permit No. C-1982-056) <br />Dear Routt County Commissioners: <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to Approve a renewal <br />application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Twentymile Coal <br />Company on November 25, 2002, for the Foidel Creek Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />heazing before the Mined Land Reclamation Boazd within 30 days of the first publication of this notice by the <br />Division in the Steamboat Pilot. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The permit <br />area is further described as follows: <br />In portions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4W, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35 <br />and 36 in TSN, R87W; and all of TSN, R86W with the exception of Sections 34, 35, and 36. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Routt County Clerk and Recorder's Office. A copy of the Division's "Proposed Decision and Findings of <br />Compliance" is also available at those locations. <br />The Division proposes to adjust the amount of bond required for the permit area.
