Sherman <br />Executive Director <br />Ronald W. Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Bowie Resources, LLC has applied for a bond release at the Bowie No. 1 Mine. The bond release <br />application was found complete by this Division on August 9, 2007. Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) <br />has applied for a Partial Phase One Bond Release at the Bowie No. 1 Mine. The bond release request <br />is for structural demolition and removal at the unit train loadout. The reclamation work was performed <br />during September through November 2006 and involved the truck dump, concrete silos, the rail car <br />loadout with associated structures and conveyors. BRL is requesting release of $1,200.000.00 of the <br />total reclamation liability of $5,756,607.00. The Division currently holds a reclamation bond of <br />$5,761,290.00 for the Bowie No. t Mine. The surface ownership is Federal and private, and the coal <br />mined was Federal and private. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon <br />as it has been scheduled.
