Long <br /> Division Duxtor <br />Re: Carbon Junction Mine (Permit No. C-92-080) <br />Permit Renewal Application <br />Dear La Plata County Commissioners: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, <br />Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on February 4, 1998, a permit renewal application for a permit <br />to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-92-080 by Oakridge Energy Inc, was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act <br />and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining initiate from this <br />date of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue surface coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately <br />2 miles southeast of Durango. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Section 33, T34 1/2N, R9W; Portions of Section 33, T35N, R9W; Portions of Section 4, T34N, R9W. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Durango East and Loma <br />Linda. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E <br />Second Ave, Durango, CO 81301.
