Box 4b Dw.„on Dveaor <br />Monte Vista, CO 81144 <br />Re: Receipt of L11 ConsYrudion Materials Reclamation Permit Amendment Application, Del Norte Cravel <br />Pit, Permit No. M-78-071, AM - 1 <br />Dear Mr. Shaver: <br />On July 28, 1999, the Division of Minerals and Geology received yottr 112 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit <br />Amendment appGcarion for the Del Norte Gravel Pit, which is located in Rio Grande County. All comment and review <br />periods began oa July 28, 1999. The decision date for your application is scheduled for Qctober 26, 1999. <br />Within ten (10) days after submittal, you must publish notice is a newspaper of general circulation in the loclity of the <br />proposed mining operation once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks. Within that same tea (10) day period, you must <br />mail or personally serve a copy of the same information provided in the public notice to the tewspaper to the owners <br />of record of surface rights and all owners of record of surface lands that are within 200 feet of the boundary of the <br />affected land. Gnmediately after the first publication, mail a copy of the notice to this. Proof of notice and mailings, <br />such as Certified Mail - Rettun Receip[ Requested, must be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology prior to <br />the decision date. Additionally, any changes or additions to the application on file in our office must also be reflected <br />in the public review copy which has been placed with the Rio Grande County Clerk and Recorder. <br />The Division is rLwiewht8 your apphcation to determine whether it is adequate to meet the tequiretttetus of the Act.
