Long <br />Division Director <br />FROM: Joe Dudash f~ <br />RE: Technical Revision No. 29, East Ridge Waste Pile, Bowie No. 1 Mine, <br />Permit No. C-81-038, Bowie Resources Limited. <br />I am requesting your geotechnical expertise in the review of designs for a proposed coal <br />waste pile for the Bowie No. I Mine. The location of the proposed East Ridge waste pile <br />would be to the immediate east of the current West Ridge waste pile. <br />I have attached a complete submittal copy to this memo. It would appear from the cover <br />letter that the consultant is relying mostly on West Ridge waste pile geotechnical designs, <br />that are already in the permit application, for the geotechnical analysis for the East Ridge <br />waste pile. Volume 6A of the Bowie No. 1 permit application contains the designs for the <br />West Ridge waste pile, which Bowie refers to. When you are ready for that, please let me <br />know or go to the public copy of the permit application. The organization of the permit <br />application material is not the best so please let me know if I can do any searching for <br />information. <br />I called TR-29 complete on November I2, 1998.
