Squire <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology / <br />1313 Sherman Street Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />June 3, 2002 <br />RE: Application for Tec mcal Revision of Permit <br />#M-1987-074 <br />Dear Mr. Squire: <br />RECEIVED <br />~~~ ~ ~ 2002 ~ <br />Dlvlalan of Minerals and Geology <br />Due to new Federal regulations, requiring the Bureau of Land Management to hold the <br />Reclamation Bond, and not wanting to be double bonded, Rule 4.7.1(6) should be applied <br />to Permit #M-1987-074. <br />The amount of the Financial Warranty posted with the State shall be the difference <br />between the amount required to be posted by the Bureau of Land Management and the <br />amount required by the Mined Land Reclamation Board. In no event shall the amount of <br />Financial Warranty posted with the State be less than $100.00 <br />In the event the Bureau of Land Management reduces the Financial Wazranty, Mayne <br />Block will post an acceptable Replacement Warranty with the State prior to any release <br />by the Bureau of Land Management. <br />The Replacement Warranty will be sufficient to cover the cost of the reclamation unless <br />the Mined Land Reclamation Board conducts an inspection and concurs with the Bureau _ <br />of Land Management findings. <br />It would be appropriate at this time to change the name of the operator from Robert V. <br />Mayne to Mayne Industries, Inc.
