Walther
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cottony
Atting Division Director
The Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has completed its adequacy review of
your 112 construction materials reclamation permit amendment. The amendment was
received on April 19, 2002 and called complete for review on that date. The decision
date for this amendment was modified to July 22, 2002. Please be advised that if you aze
unable to satisfactorily address any concerns identifed in this review before the decision
date, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of the review period. if
there are outstanding issues that have not been adequately addressed prior to the end of
the review period, and no extension has been requested, the Division will deny this
amendment.
Construction Materials Application Form, Item 3, Permitted Acreage:
This item indicates the permitted acreage was originally 1,590 acres, and is being reduced
by 22.5 acres to a new total of 1,567.5 acres.
Checking our information shows that on February 26, 1996 the acreage was increased to
],590. It was reduced on May 21, 200] by 39.8 acres to 1,550. Please check your
records and verify the correct acreage.
Since the exact acreage is somewhat uncleaz, lets use the acreage indicated by the DMG
permit system that currently indicates a permitted acreage of 1,550, copy enclosed. The
DMG agrees that the operator should not be permitting Quincy Avenue, so the deduction
of 22.5 acres would yield 1527.5 acres. These values should be entered in items 3, 3.1,
and 3.2 of a new page 1 of the permit form.
