Please note that since the adequacy letter was written by <br />the Division, MCC has conducted extensive studies and analyses on the water and landslide <br />issues, which were the subject of a Notice of Violation (CV-97-022) issued to MCC. The results <br />of these studies were presented in several reports and meetings, culminating with a letter and <br />information packet provided to the Division, dated July 24, 1998. Please refer to this <br />information, as many of the NOV responses are also applicable to responses to the Division's <br />adequacy questions regarding this technical revision application. <br />Questions previously resolved are not included in this response. The Division's remaining <br />questions are shown in italics. <br />Sumuine and Handlin¢ of Mine Inflow Water <br />7. The volume for anr:ual groundwater inflow [o [he mine presented in your response (321 <br />acre feet) is d~erent than [he trumber shown on page 2d and Figure 6 of the 1996 AHR. <br />Please clarify this and provide atr updated figure 2a. <br />MCC inadvertently missed updating Figure 24 when revising the permit text for the initial <br />application submittal. MCC will update and provide this figure with the revised permit <br />pages for this revision, and will resubmit them after final resolution of the outstanding <br />issues associated with this technical revision application. Please note that the updated <br />information to be presented in this figure will not be the same as Figure 6 prepared for the <br />1996 Annual Hydrology Report (AHR). The figure in the permit will represent a calendar <br />
