<br />NOTICE OF PNOPOSED DECISION
<br />The Colorado Division of Minerals antl Geobgy pro-
<br />poses to Approve Technical Revision Application No.
<br />25 QR-23)for the Yoast Mine (Permit No. C-1994-
<br />082), submittetl by Seneca Coal Company. This
<br />technical revision presents a design for an atldi[ional
<br />postmine channel (VPM-13) in the Nortn Pit disturbed
<br />area, a revisetl PMT far the Valora Pit, and a variSoce
<br />request for a delay In the liming of rough backLlling
<br />antl grading for various pit locations of the mine site.
<br />The Voast Mine is a surface coal mine located in
<br />Routl County, approximately ]miles southwest of
<br />Raytlen, Goloratlo. Coal interest is Federal antl pri-
<br />vate, and the surface aNectetl Is Federal, state and
<br />private land The permit area enwmpasses approxi-
<br />mately 2,318.30 acres.
<br />This proposetl decision is basetl on a finding that the
<br />proposed operation will comply with all requirements
<br />of the Colorado Sutlace Coel Mining Reclamation
<br />Act, Section 347337101, et saq., C.R. ,antl [he req-
<br />ulatiooa promulga[etl thereunder.
<br />Copies of [he proposed decision, including stipula-
<br />tions, are on tit for puWk inspection at the Colorado
<br />Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, Cen-
<br />tennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Oenve[ Col-
<br />orado 80203. Persons with an interest that may be
