Lamm
Governor
DATE: tAarch 4, 1986
T0: Canadian Strip File
FROM: Steve Renner
RE: PIT RECLAMATION
On Monday March 3, 1986 at 2 pm I contacted David Stout of Wyoming Fuels
Company regarding the final reclamation of the Canadian Strip Pit.
Mr. Stout was informed that it is the Division's position that the final
reclaimed configuration of the pit must entail positive drainage. To
accomplish drainage of the pit, the elevation of the pit floor must be raised
to about 8,240 to 8,250 (AMSL). By raising the floor to this approximate
elevation, the pit would draw to a natural drainage south/southeast of the
mine area.
It was suggested by Mr. Renner that some material in an overfilled area
northeast of the open pit could be used for this operation,
It was agreed that Wyoming Fuels would submit a new reclamation plan.
srs
8119E
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
