Cattany <br />Atling Division Director <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to Approve a renewal <br />application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by National King Coal, LLC <br />on February 19, 2002, for the King Coal Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Boazd within 30 days of the first publication of this notice by the <br />Division in The Durango Herald. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 7 miles southwest of Hesperus, Colorado. The permit azea is <br />further described as follows: <br />All or Portions of Sections 28, 29, 31, 32, T35N, R11W, NMPM; Portions of Sections 5 and 6, T34N, R11W; <br />Portions of Sections 36, T35N, R12W. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office.
