We still feel that the
plans for disposal of tipple demolition debris and coolly material on an upper bench at the
tipple represent the best approach relative to both operational and environmental
considerations. The associated permitting, consultation, and documentation requirements
outlined in the DMG's Technical Adequacy Letter would, however, be too time-
consuming, costly, and onerous to address, so Kerr will identify and evaluate other potential
disposal options.
Following review of potential material disposal options, we anticipate preparation and
submittal of a new Technical Revision request addressing this component of the Tipple
reclamation plans. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this
transmittal.
Sincerely,
~, Montgomery Watson Mining Group for
Kerr Coal Company
I Ci^-'~~~ ~r
Jerry ettleton
Senior roject Manager
JMN:sIw
cc: G.
