Dudash
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
Office of Mined Land Reclamation
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Guardrail Addition, Minor Revision No. 20, Permit No, C-83-059
Dear Mr. Dudash:
As you know, late last year Terror Creek Company ("TCC") was issued a serious
citation by the Mine Safety and Health Administration for lack of guardrail along
its entrance haul road. To remedy and abate the citation, TCC was forced to
promptly install guardrail along both shoulders of the haul road into the Terror
Creek loadout, totaling 1,000 feet. TCC herein requests a minor revision to
Permit No. C-83-059 to add this guardrail to its permitted reclamation liability.
Per Jim Stark of the Division, the current unit cost for guardrail demolition is
$7.87 per linear foot. Utilizing this unit figure, the total direct cost of demolition .
would be $7,870.00. I understand that there are other indirect costs that need to
added and request the Division's assistance in calculating the new total bond
amount, including this guardrail.
Please call me at (970) 929-5834 should you have questions or require further
information.
Sincerely,
Oxbow Mining, LLC
~~~J/~~ ,
Kathleen G.
