Long <br />Division Director <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on April 3, 2000, an application to revise coal mining <br />operations at the Yoast Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by <br />Seneca Coal Company. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from <br />this date of filing. <br />This technical revision is for an incidental increase in the disturbance/affected area for additional spoil room and <br />remedial repairs to the landslide area above sedimentation pond 012. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles southwest of Hayden, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />T6N, R87 W, Portions of Sections 28, 29 and 32 <br />TSN, R87W, Portions of Sections 5, 8, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20; 29, 30 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Mt. Harris & Dunckley <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Routt County Courthouse, Box <br />773598, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide <br />written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that <br />comments be submitted within fifteen (IS) days of this letter.
