Cattany <br />Division DIreC[Or <br />Meeker, t.t~ 81641 Natural Resource Trustee <br />RE: Adequacy Review, East Douglas Creek Gravel Pit, 110c to 112c Conversion Application, Revision <br />No. CN-1~ File No. M-1998-054 / <br />Dear Mr. Joy: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has received your application for the conversion of the East Douglas <br />Creek Gravel Pit from a 1 l Oc Permit to a 112c Permit. <br />Listed below are the Division's adequacy review comments for this application. The Division is required <br />to make a decision no later than October 13, 2004, therefore, your response to the following adequacy <br />review concerns should be received by the Division by September 27, 2004 to give us time to evaluate your <br />responses. <br />1. Exhibit D -Reclamation Plan <br />Under Exhibit E Reclamation Plan, a seed mix is given with a total Pounds PLS/acre of 11.6. The <br />application should also state that if the seed is to be broadcast the rate will be doubled. It was also <br />noted that this seed mix is not the same as the one specified by the BLM under item #7 of the <br />Conditions of Approval in the Free Use Application and Permit. Please specify which seed mix you <br />will use. <br />2. Weed Control Plan <br />Rule 3.1.10 (6) of the Minerals Rules and Regulations requires the use of weed control measures under <br />certain conditions. Also, item #5 in the Conditions of Approval of the BLM Free Use Application and <br />Permit requires the control and containment of noxious weeds and undesirable plant species associated <br />with this permit. Please provide the Division with an appropriate weed control plan for this site. <br />3. As noted in the Division's July 16, 2004 "Receipt of Application" letter sent to Mr. Rasmussen and <br />ccd to you, "You must submit proof of the notice and mailings....... to the Division of Minerals and <br />Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />Office of <br />Active and Inactive Mines <br />Colorado <br />Geological Survey <br />
