Yes (I determined the different naming designations CYCC used was to <br />distinguish the time of sampling.-Rick confirmed this) <br />Do you want me to enter data for the entire Area 41 as a unit, or break it <br />down by when it was seeded? What works best for voti? I think as one area is fine unless we itend to <br />access the data by year'? l do not really know how this database was set up, what our intentions of use <br />are. etc. 1 have not been privy to anything on the database eventhough 1 tried to trap Larry into <br />inlorming me before he left. <br />I don't need this information for the database, but did you notice that <br />they only sampled the 1987 seeded areas for the 1997 sampling? 1998 <br />covered the whole area, but 1997 did not. Yes [ did. 1 asked Rick about that when 1 was there for the <br />inspection. He said that they had sampled the entire area. [have not torn this application apart totally <br />yet. This may be an adeyuacy question for me to fire at him. <br />Another FYI you're probably already on top of- a small portion of Area 41 <br />was seeded in October 1990. Unless it was a sed. control area, it hasn't <br />been ten years yet. Becky of OSM noted that too. If you look at CYCC's maps of Area 41 sampling <br />locations. they do no[ include that in the sampling area (kind of cuts off the map) 1 suspect it may <br />have been a topsoil pile footprint. We will make it distinct that that portion is included in the phase II <br />application but is not a part of the phase ll I---Unless upon greater research it proves to be a reclaimed <br />sediment pond (unlikely but possible). <br />In order for [he 1997 Phase II sampling of Mine 1 areas [o coincide with <br />that previously entered in the data base, I'll need the data by <br />transect. They've given me, in Appendices I and 2, averages in 20 transect <br />clumps. Yet another adequacy question. We've only asked them for transect information 50 or more <br />times. <br />Also, you asked me to a-mail you and tell you again what it was 1 needed <br />from Rick Mills. The map I need (that you asked him for some time ago) is <br />afield map/transect location map for the Mine 2 SL 06 Phase II and III <br />application. Without it, 1've been unable to enter the data from that app. <br />into the database. 1 guess we can't hold the Mine I/Area 41 stuff hostage, <br />but it would still be nice to get it.
