Long <br /> Division Director <br />RE: Technical Revisions Nos. 6 and 7, Bowie No. 2 Mine, Bowie Resources Ltd., <br />Technical Revision No. 30, Bowie No. i Mine, Bowie Resources Ltd. <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />As a recipient of a completeness letter from this Division concerning the above-mentioned technical revisions, <br />this letter is to inform you that there has been a change in the submittal of this information. For the Bowie No. <br />2 Mine, Bowie Resources has withdrawn Technical Revision No. 6, which involved the installation of a <br />downhill conveyor, coal stockpile and truck loadout and the relocation of a sedimentation pond and Technical <br />Revision No. 7, which involved the change in the mine plan to go to longwall mining with an increase in <br />production from 2 million tons per year to 5 million tuns per year. For the Bowie No. I Mine, Bowie <br />Resources has withdrawn Technical Revision No. 30, which concerned an increase in production at the railroad <br />loadout from 2 million tons per year to 5 million tons per year. <br />In place of the withdrawn Technical Revisions Nos. 6 and 7, Bowie Resources will resubmit the information <br />under one permit revision. Technical Revision No. 30 will be submitted at a later time, again, as a technical <br />revision. <br />For your information, Bowie Resources has submitted two additional technical revisions for the Bowie No. 2 <br />Mine. Technical Revision No. 8 requests a change in the mine plan to extract coal in the west section of their <br />present permit area. Technical Revision No. 9 is a request for an•incidental boundary change to the permit area <br />in order to establish mine development in federal coal.
