Long <br />, 0~~:~~~ Director <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine (Permit No. C-1984-065) <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 4 (RN•4) <br />Dear Mr. Simpson: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March ~, 2001, an application to renew an <br />existing permit [o conduct coal mining operations a[ the Coal Ridge No. I Mine was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act <br />and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />NCIG Financial, Inc. proposes to continue underground coal mine reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 7 miles West of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The pemtit area is further described as follows: <br />T6S, P.91 W; Portions of Sections I and 12 <br />T6S, R90W; Portions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, ] 5 and 16 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Stotm King Mountain <br />and New Castle. <br />Approval of the application would extend the permit for reclamation activities to October 9, 2006. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Division office (address below) A copy <br />of the renewal application will be available for public inspection, upon publication of a public notice in the <br />Glenwood Post of the renewal application, at the Ga~eld County Courthouse, 109 8th St Ste 200, Glenwood <br />Springs, CO 81601.
