The Division of Minerals and Geology ("Division") is required to make an approval or denial decision no later <br />than August 4, 2003, therefore, your response to the following adequacy review concerns should be submitted to the Division <br />as soon as possible. <br />1. As required by Rule 1.6.5 (2), please submit the proof of publication of the public notice circulated in the local <br />newspaper. <br />Rule 6.3.4 Exhibit D -Reclamation Plan <br />2. Section (b) of the Reclamation Plan requires the Applicant to specify the maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes <br />(horizontal:vertical). Please specify the maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes at the proposed site. <br />Rule 6.3.5 Exhibit E- Man <br />3. Section (2)(d) of the Map Exhibit requires the Applicant to indicate the d[rection that constmction material extraction <br />will proceed. Please indicate on the Mining Plan Map the direction of construction material extraction. <br />Please be advised that the Rock Island Land Co LLC, Rock Island Operation, 110(c) Amendment Application may be <br />deemed inadequate, and the application may be denied on August 4, 2003 unless the above-mentioned adequacy review items <br />aze addressed to the satisfaction of the Division. These adequacy review responses must be received by the Division in a <br />timeframe that allows adequate time for review prior to the decision date. If you feel more time is needed to complete your <br />reply, the Division can grant an extension to the decision date. This will be done upon receipt of a written waiver of your <br />right to a decision by August 4, 2003 and request for additional time.
